ALEX HEALY EQUITY RESEARCH DCF MODELLING BASED IN LONDON OPEN TO INTERNSHIP

Independent Research

Alex Healy

Aspiring Investment Banking Analyst & Investor

I build bottom-up DCF models and publish independent coverage on companies I find mispriced or intresting.

Thesis

I try to find what a business is actually worth, independent of what the market currently says it's worth, then let the gap between the two do the talking.

I am currently an Economics BSc undergraduate student. I believe economics helps answer the question 'why?' Why do firms decide to merge? Why does management decide on certain courses of action? And why are there discrepancies between intrinsic value and market value? What draws me to equity analysis is the discipline behind it: a subjective opinion on a stock is not enough, you need to build the case number by number and be willing to have it fall apart under scrutiny. I build full DCF models and research notes from the ground up, and the most valuable part has never been landing on a price target, but rather the process of stress-testing every assumption, catching my own errors, and being honest when the numbers don't support the story I want to tell.
